The chair of Animal Diseases and Parasitology

Ahtiёr Bakirov - Associate Professor, Head of the Department.

In 2004, the department was renamed as the Department of "animal diseases and parasitology" on the basis of which existed before the Department "Internal non-communicable diseases", "Parasitology" and "epizootology", which was organized in 1932.

The department was headed: S.G.Yudin, N.T.Vasilev, R.M.Voskanyan, A.A.Pokudin, N.V.Badanin, N.A.Zhdanova, Sh.T.Rasulov, E.H.Ergashev , H.Z.Ibragimov, T.A.Abdurahmanov, M.P.Parmanov, M.S.Habiev, R.B.Boboev, K.N.Norboev and R.B.Davlatov. Since 2011, the department is headed by Associate Professor B.Bakirov.

Of domestic scientists Doctor of Veterinary Science, Professor H.Z.Ibragimov headed the department for 24 years and more, he developed methods for early diagnosis trihodesmotoksikoza, utilatotoksikoza agricultural animals. Together with his students (K.N.Norboev Professor, Associate Professor Mikhail Safarov, associate professor B.Bakirov, associate professor A.Zh.Raҳmonov) created the theory of the "Comprehensive medical examination productive farm animals"; developed schemes and measures to combat metabolic diseases (metabolism) of the liver and the stress it has trained about 10 doctors and 50 PhDs.
